| THE QUESTION: Short of actually leveling every church bearing the name of Jesus have you any suggestions that just might possibly remedy any reason for their total annihilation? |
| THE ANSWER: Not to be at all facetious, removing my name would be a good place to start. But I'm sure that is not the answer you are seeking. I'm not sure, considering the magnitude of their hideous divergence from my original and uncomplicated teachings, if it might be easier for all them to just start all over from the beginning. From all that I have just recently learned I believe that most Christians are so entrenched in their acquired beliefs that it would take several future generations that were totally separated from a totally hypocritical pass to even begin that long journey to the truth. According to biblical mythology Moses was given some forty years of wondering before his people were spiritually cleansed enough to enter the Promised Land. And you may recall that Moses’ journey was laden with a number of rather dramatic obstacles. If you take into account the numerous temptations and diversions that exists in this modern world, I'm not sure that mankind is capable of overcoming the burden of his tainted past. If only this vast numbers of churches were actually able to join together and agree that salvation is not the result of blind obedience to church doctrine, and outlined a course of education that was based solely on the truth, then there might be some hope for Western mankind. Now, if that were possible, I would suggests that they first burn all the Bibles and publish a brief and I mean 'brief' pamphlet that explains their singular and unified mission of teaching their congregations how to love. They need to sing praises of joy and thanksgiving that they have good neighbors who are willing to join in this journey to a better life; the only true “promised land.” Churches need to become totally inclusive in all aspects of their ministry and be intolerant of any forms of hate; that starts with the treatment of woman as equal spiritual beings. And even if these actions were undertaken insincerely by this present generation but at least for the good of the next-generation, there might be some glimmer of hope. I know that there are many who would concur with these needed changes, but the changes, to be at all successful, would require the cooperation of a majority that were strong enough to resist the temptations and comforts provided in this modern arena of humanity. There is no simple solution and particularly a solution that would satisfy the great divergence and disparity that now exists with all of mankind. I'm not suggesting that hope be totally abandoned, but I am concerned with the overwhelming odds of any grand success. It would require the cooperation of many Gandhi’s and Martin Luther King’s and a host of faithful followers to even begin such an awesome transition. And who is to decide that singular path to the truth? I suspect that there would be little or no agreement except amongst the most devout seekers of the truth and even they would apt to exclude a man as qualified as Lamah who is already outside the mainstream of popular convention and thought. So, there is a solution, but the solution may be unachievable given this present state of mankind and its corrupted and ever-fabricating spiritual leadership. I wish that I could be more optimistic, but even Lamah is a realist! However, keep this in mind; even though mankind on the larger landscape is perhaps lost, that doesn't preclude any given individual from achieving a total salvation of his or her own life. And, I most specifically mean to say "life" and not in death! The purpose of this interview in not to save the world; it is the offering to the individual the means to save his or her own spiritual integrity and to find joy in his or her life; nothing more! That is the sole goal and thought that I share with Lamah. |
